Hello everyone, today it's time to talk about a subject that you enjoyed during this semester. The truth is that this semester has been too intense and he did not enjoy them very much. So I will tell you about a bouquet that I enjoyed last semester. The subject was called "Experimental Editorial Design''. I liked this a lot because I was able to have a lot of freedom when creating a project and working with many materials, something that I had not done for a long time. In addition to the fact that the environment was very hostile and pleasant, the teacher was always very willing to teach.
During the classes we make models and prototypes of different formats on books or bindings, using different colors and textures papers, to learn how the directions of each material work and how to join the booklets. I learned about the different types of seams, paper folding and how to properly glue soft or hard covers, In addition to learning about the different printing techniques such as risography, screen printing and xylography.
Likewise I learned to do more experimental creation projects, that is unconventional ones, such as fanzines, visual poetry, pop-up, among others. Editorial design is a topic that I really like because one can deliver a message about social or political problems, through print or digital media, which I consider that editorial design is a very good tool to be able to arrive with a critical message, especially since there are no limits be it from printing, formats, the use of words and images.
Hii, well, in Theory and Critique of design, I have to make a fanzine too!! It was an amazing experience for me :)
