It was always clear to me what to study when applying to university. From a very young age I started with the idea of being a designer, despite the fact that I did not know much about what it meant to be one. Although as a child my dream was to be an artist, I have always been fascinated by drawing and painting, in adittion to having an obsession with cartoons. Thus, since I was a child, carrying out these creative and visual activities has influenced a large part of my decisions.
When my family began to see that I picked up certain skills, they accompanied me to enhance it even more, but when I came to deciding on a career, the design was not very well seen by them because in general not much is know about this profession. The decision to study was difficult for me due to the pressure of others, although it was very clear to me. Design was my only option, although I also had other preferences such as pedagogy or architecture, but I thought they were not for me. I decided to study design because the difference with other careers is that it gives me much more freedom and that I can enter many other areas, with other disciplines.
It's very difficult to decide at the first opportunity! you did it, congratulations :)
ResponderEliminarI understand you :(, it happened something similar to me when I chose studying geography: the terrible commentaries. (the image hahahaha).
ResponderEliminarI am sorry to know that you decision was not supported. The good thing is that you were persevering and that if you are studying what you like!
ResponderEliminarIt's good that you didn't change your career choice despite what they told you. It would have been sad if you entered another career and you didn't like this one.
